New Reception Information
We are so excited for your child to start their learning journey in our Early Years Foundation Stage. The Nursery or Reception class your child will be in at Ashurst will provide a safe, caring and nurturing learning environment where they will flourish as resilient, independent learners.
Our staff team deliver a rich and diverse curriculum which will motivate and immerse you child in exciting themes that ignite sparks of learning and inspires them in their unique learning journey. We aim to create a stimulating indoor and outdoor environment in which the children and their friends can create and think critically in a wealth of open ended opportunities.
As part of our usual transition we invite the children to meet the staff and visit their new classrooms as part of a welcome meeting. This will give you an insight into the classes of EYFS and see the environments where your child will be learning. Staff will be making home visits for reception children to support the transition into school.
Information regarding starting school in September 2024 has been sent out and discussed during the summer term 2024 New Starter meeting; however if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office via telephone or email and we will do our best to answer them.
